Chief Mike Musolf was appointed to ACJFD in June of 2003 as a probationary member assigned to Station 36. Over the next several years he obtained his Firefighter II, EMT-Basic, and Hazmat Technician certifications. He was then promoted to Captain in September 2013. He continued furthering his education by becoming a Paramedic, Fire Safety Inspector, as well as an EMS and Fire Instructor. He has worked for several other entities over time including Promedica Air & Mobile, St. Vincent's Life Flight, Cedar Point Fire Department, Monclova Township Fire and Rescue Department, and Sandusky County EMS, as well as many years in the construction safety industry as a field inspector and safety manager. Chief Musolf was selected as the next Fire Chief after the retirement of Chief Hartman and was sworn in on August 10, 2017. Chief Musolf enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and their 4 kids (Michael, Grayson, Madelyn, and Colton).
