It covers both elementary and sophisticated techniques associated with the use of extrication tools, as well as an understanding of vehicle safety systems and their construction.
- Identifying and Describing Tools and Equipment: -Recognizing the levels of rescue vehicles (e.g., light rescue vehicles). -Identifying common tools and equipment carried on rescue vehicles.
- Scene Safety and Stabilization: -Establishing scene safety zones. -Stabilizing vehicles. -Isolating potentially harmful energy sources -Determining access and egress points. -Creating openings for rescue.
- Patient Extraction: -Disentangling victims. -Removing packaged victims to designated safe areas. -Terminating vehicle incidents.!
